Purchasing a bottleless water cooler

March 7th, 2010

Have you had enough of ordering your bottles of water every fortnight then having to wait until they are delivered before you can enjoy the crisp, clean taste of purified water? Whether it’s at home or at the office, there’s always something rather annoying about changing the water cooler bottles over and having to wait for the next delivery. It would be far more simple if the water was already there.

If this is your way of thinking, it’s time you upgraded to a mains fed, or bottleless water cooler. No more hassle with bottles or their delivery, just clean, purified water at your fingertips, accesible all day and all night. A bottleless water cooler will even save you money compared with a bottled water cooler as you won’t have to keep ordering bottles. All you need is an exisiting water supply which it can be plumbed in to and you’re away.

And if you purchase your water cooler it’s just a simple one off payment – you can get packages that include installation, sanitisation and maintenance options as well so you will never feel as though you have been left to fend for yourself with any potential problems that may happen to pop up. Knowing that your water cooler will be constantly looked after by the company that sold it to you is priceless.

If any problems do arise with your cooler, all it takes is a simple phone call to the company you bought it from and they will have an engineer out to you as soon as possible to help you with your water cooler issue.

Water Coolers and Australia Day

January 26th, 2010

Today, January 26th, is Australia Day and as British Citizens we are happy to celebrate it to pay homage to our sister nation, the lovely Australia! Australia Day is one of the most celebrated national holidays down under and it commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788, the hoisting of the British flag there and the proclamation of British sovereignty over the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Australians have the day off work to have picnics and BBQs with friends and family, most young Aussies wear the Australian flag wrapped around themselves or paint their faces red, white and blue. Lamingtons and vegemite sandwiches are a popular Aussie snack to take to a party along with an esky filled with beer.

Here in London we shall be decorating our office water coolers with mini Australian flags and having sausages on the barbie – oh and we’re all wearing green and gold! But watch out if you’re heading out tonight, the local Walkabouts will be packed with jubilant Australians downing snakebite and being very very loud. But we’re used to the Aussie invasion here in the United Kingdom, we practically think of them as siblings don’t we!? Only they are the louder version of Brits.

The Water Cooler Company is London’s leading supplier of bottleless water coolers, if you would like any information on water coolers please contact us on 0845 500 4455 or email us on contact@thewatercoolercompany.com

How to choose the best water cooler

November 30th, 2009

Whether you need a water cooler for your home, office or school, chances are you’ll want to ensure you have made the best possible choice. The Water Cooler Company is London’s leading supplier of water coolers and has devised an easy four step way to ensure you choose the best possible cooler for your situation.

Step 1
Think about the room you will be putting the water cooler in, is it a room that is normally quiet because some water coolers can run with a little noise. Also is space going to be any issue? If space is limited a tabletop water cooler dispenser may be best for that area.

Step 2
You should check with co-workers or family members if they are okay with replacing water bottles on the top of the cooler. Five gallon water bottles are not light and will need to be replaced regularly. If lifting water bottles into your water cooler will be too much work over time, a bottom loading water cooler might be a winner in that situation.

Step 3
If you decide that you do not want to deal with water bottles at all have a look at the bottleless water coolers, you will save money with these as well as  you won’t have to pay to replace water bottles all the time. This is the best water cooler if you want something hassle free. A very popular option for schools.

Step 4
Use the internet and other helpful resources to compare water coolers, call up water cooler companies and ask them the questions you want answered. It’s also a good idea to go online and read the online reviews other customers have written.

Following these four basic steps you should be well on your way to choosing the best water cooler for you. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us on 0845 500 4455 or email contact@thewatercoolercompany.com

Keeping Office Water Coolers Clean

June 21st, 2009

coolerclean1A few months ago, a survey conducted in Scotland showed that a worrying percentage of both office water coolers and water coolers in general had bacterial contamination due to the fact that businesses and organizations had failed to regularly sanitize them and that staff members were using the water coolers in such a way that made them vulnerable to such contamination.

It seems many people think that purchasing a water cooler simply involves paying for it and having it installed, but forget that it also- and most crucially-needs to be regularly cleaned. Of course you can call out technicians at any point if ever you experience a problem with your cooler, but you must also take into account that your cooler can’t clean itself.

So problem or no, it is down to the buyer to insure that they have their water cooler sanitized and maintained on a very regular basis- for bottleless water coolers, this should be every six months or so as the filters need changing. The Water Cooler Company offers a wide variety of water cooler maintenance packages which can take this issue away from you.

Neglecting to do this could lead to all manner of health problems. With the threat of swine flu leering its ugly head, it certainly wouldn’t be a good idea to take such risks with your health.

How many water coolers are there in the UK?

March 30th, 2009

The Water Cooler Company is London’s leading plumbed bottleless water cooler specialist – established over seven years ago we service over 2500 water coolers within the M25. We are a part of an industry that turns over £178million per year through the provision of water cooler products and services.

kruger-plumbed-bottleless-water-coolerOur industry is divided into two main categories – bottled water coolers and bottleless water coolers (sometimes refered to as plumbed coolers or POU within the industry).

In 2008 Zenith International estimated there to be over 430,000 bottled water coolers in active use in the UK – and around 230,000 bottleless water coolers. Over the last few years the main area of growth has been the bottleless water coolers – and this has been reflected in our experience. The Water Delivery Company establised a separate brand – “The Water Cooler Company” – in 2005 to focus on the needs of the bottleless market and has enjoyed steady growth since then.

If the UK market continues to develop in the same way as the American market it is very possible that the industry will over time be split 50/50 between bottled and bottleless water coolers. Within the central London market this is likely to mainly in the traditional water cooler market – due to the age of the buildings. In contrast the outer reaches of London are likely to increasingly look to integrated drinking water fountain and water boiler solutions which can provide a longer-term integrated water facility for offices.

The water cooler market in the UK is still relatively young – celebrating its twentieth year in 2009 – and it is a rapidly evolving market. The Water Cooler Company is primed to innovate and grow within this marketplace.
